I can imagine your anger and frustration, but the fact is that web-based apps often require very specific browsers to work in. Many Chrome-based apps don't work in any other browser. In the same way, many Windows-based programs can't be installed on any other system (Linux, Mac, Android, etc). That is normal.
I tried to access matecat.com with a few other modern browsers that are frequently updated with security patches. Opera (not version 12.17) can't access it, even if I mask the user agent (very sad!). [url= [url removed] ]Vivaldi[/url], [url= [url removed] ]Otter Browser[/url], and [url= [url removed] ]SRWare Iron[/url] all bypass that screen telling you to get Chrome, so they appear to work with MateCat.
